About The MainbrainModernToys™ was founded by Michael Malouf in 1985, in Dallas, Texas, initially as an all-Japanese toy store, with toys meant only for the domestic Japanese market imported directly from Tokyo. Mr. Malouf pioneered importing Japanese anime and live action TV action figures to the United States, well in advance of the Transformer and Power Ranger TV shows here. The concept was expanded as RightBrain/Left Brain™ to include a wider variety of unusual toys and artifacts, from 3-D Jigsaw Puzzles to Day of the Dead folk art. In 1997, Mr. Malouf became the buyer for a national rock 'n' roll memorabilia catalog & website and managed the rock memorabilia auctions for Amazon.com. The current website now features an extensive selection of vintage rock 'n roll collectibles from the 1960s to the present. |
