About The MainbrainModernToys™ was founded by Michael Malouf in 1985, in Dallas, Texas, initially as an Japanese toy store, with toys meant only for the domestic Japanese market imported directly from Tokyo. Mr. Malouf pioneered importing Japanese anime and live action TV action figures to the United States, well in advance of the Transformer and Power Ranger TV shows. The concept was expanded as RightBrain/Left Brain™ to include a wider variety of unusual toys and artifacts, from 3-D Jigsaw Puzzles and science toys to folk art. In 1997, Mr. Malouf became the buyer for a national rock 'n' roll memorabilia catalog & website and managed the rock memorabilia auctions for Amazon.com. The current website now features an extensive selection of vintage rock 'n roll memorabilia from the 1950s to the present. |
